Latvian manufacturer proves itself in the Baltic

Frameworks of the manufacturer of wooden constructions SIA WoodCon in the grand project in Lithuania. At the end of September, in Lithuania, a unique Baltic-wide and, probably, a Europe-wide wooden construction project on request of UAB ‘’Dubingiu Žirgynas’’ was created. In the village of Žalktine, an arena meant for horse racing competitions and other horse breeding events, where the roof constructions` span along the diameter is astounding – 42 meters long.

WoodCon Ltd is expanding production and are interested in purchasing timber for quality roof truss manufacture. Timber should meet the following specifications:

• wood – fir
• thickness - 45 mm
• widths: 70 mm, 95 mm, 120 mm, 145 mm, 170 mm, 195 mm, 220 mm, 245 mm
• lengths of each dimension - 3 m, 3,60 m, 4,20 m, 4,80 m, 5,10 m, 5,40 m, 6 m
• timber should be graded and must comply with C16/24, C24 or C30 strength classes.

Our partner NCC has announced open day for visitors and potential buyers at 19th of May from 11:00 to 15:00 in Bikernieki Street 160-6.

Complex of the residential buildings is located in Mežciems – one of the greenest districts of Riga with good infrastructure, neighboring with Jugla forest, 20 minutes drive from the city center, near the children's hospital "Gailezers". Our company - WoodCon Ltd. has designed the roof truss frame construction and produced wooden timber trusses for all buildings in residential complex. In next few years it is planned to build 8 more four-and five-storey buildings.

 If you are planning to build a house, you have to choose appropriate type of truss which will satisfy your needs and will not be too expensive over the total cost of the project. Click on the chart to view WoodCon price comparison graph between Duo and Attic type trusses.

Prices are calculated considering that truss span is 10 and 20 meters and expected chord loads are 30 kg / m², hanged load is 50 kg/m², but the distance between trusses is 600 mm. You can calculate precise price for both Attic and Duo trusses here: Attic price calculator, Duo price calculator.

Warehouse building in Adazi

We have finished to manufacture timber truss frames for warehouse building in Adazi, Latvia.  Warehouse total useful floor area will be 1140 m², but roof area – 1209 m².  At the moment this project has a largest roof timber truss span without extra support points in the middle in Baltics – 28 m. Height of the truss  - 4,72 m.  Load bearing walls is mafe of laminated columns (GL24h - 230x350).
